    If you are working on running your network marketing business online, then chances are that you have discovered how difficult it can be to generate the large numbers of leads that you need in order to grow your business at the pace most of us desire. Here are 5 ways you can maximize the numbers of leads you generate.

     1.

    Add some sound or video to your website as well as many ways for people to request information. Make sure to offer them both the chance to subscribe to email information as well as request print information. Limit the amount of required information to get the email information. For example, do not ask for a phone number just to get the emails. Asking for a phone number will greatly decrease the number of subscribers.

    2. Focus on what you can offer your website visitors that is applicable to them. Make sure that they will know after reading your site what you will do for them as well as who you are as a person and why they should join you rather than one of the many other distributors in your company.

    10 Reasons Why Your Network Marketing Business Isn't Growing

    You aren’t working the business.
    This may seem obvious but far too many people do not do the work it takes to be successful and then they wonder why their business isn’t growing.

    You are wasting time on non-productive activities.
    Spending hours and hours in social networking communities, preparing the perfect flyer or handout, practicing speaking with people, debating over what products to purchase, and other activities can slow down your growth. All of these items are necessary to a degree but know when you have spent enough time on them and when you need to work on other more productive activities.

    You aren’t talking with enough people every day.
    How many people are you speaking with on a daily basis? Speaking with only 2 or 3 is not enough. You need to set a goal to speak with at least 15 people per day.

    You have an attitude problem.
    Do you truly expect success with your network marketing business? Do you really believe in yourself and in your ability to succeed?

    You haven’t given your business enough time.
    People who grow large organizations and really experience major success have almost without exception been working on their business consistently for at least 2 years.

    You are in the wrong company.
    Although this is probably the least likely reason, if you aren’t passionate about your products and about the company and the people you work with or you are not selling a product you would buy even if you weren’t selling it, then chances are that you should consider switching companies.

    You are expecting too much or too little.
    How much growth are you expecting? You need to be realistic but at the same time be positive and expect business growth and it will show up.

    You need to increase your networking.
    How many people know you? And how many people do you know? If your numbers are small, you may need to join a networking group to meet more people.

    You need to develop your leadership skills.
    Leaders are made not born but everyone can become a leader who wants to. Read some John Maxwell books and get busy developing as a leader.

    You need to introduce more people to the products.
    How many people have you asked to try your product in the past few days? The more people you offer them to, the more you will sell.

    3- Start publishing a newsletter.
    This is a great way to stay in contact with your team members, customers and potential team members. It is also an excellent way to offer information of value which will attract new business to you.
    4- Start using social networking using the larger popular sites but also niches sites.
    Social networking is the new craze and it is also a great way to meet new people and to get your network marketing business in front of an audience who may not find you otherwise. Offer something of value to those you meet and watch your business grow.
    5- Start blogging
    Having a blog is now at least as important if not more important than having a website. The search engines love blogs and they are an excellent method of communicating your thoughts as well as sharing valuable information with current and potential business partners and customers.

Well, while there is some truth to that in the sense that sometimes the most successful network marketers do things that may appear cheesy to others on occasion, I was actually thinking about cheese and network marketing in a different context. Just like there are lots of different network marketing companies and lots of different personalities of people involved in network marketing there are also lots of different kinds of cheeses. This is especially true of French cheeses. Did you know that there are more than 500 kinds of French cheese? Just like no one network marketing company is right for everyone. Everyone does not think that the same kind of cheese is the best. So when prospecting, remember that network marketing is like different kinds of cheeses. Remember this and you will taste the cheese of network marketing success.

    Have you ever watched Mister Ed? Well, if you are at least 40 or even if you are younger chances are good that you have at least heard about this hilarious black and white classic TV show from the 1960's. So what can you learn from Mister Ed about network marketing?

    1.    Just like Wilbur and Mister Ed have a friendship and a great relationship, you must learn to have a great relationship with your prospects and team members. Learn to communicate effectively with them and your network marketing business will explode.

    2.    Just like Mister Ed causes Wilbur some embarrassment and funny situations at times, network marketing will make this happen with you too, sometimes, learn to embrace this and take advantage of it.

    3.    Learn to have fun and play with your network marketing business. Mister Ed does not know what is normal, or accepted in society. As a result, he has a lot of fun. Learn to have fun in your network marketing business too.

    4.    Dream big and have big ideas. In many of the episodes Mister Ed does things that everyone knows horses do not do. He drives a car, goes in a space ship, and visits a gypsy. What can you do that no one else thinks you can do or that you will do with your network marketing business?

    5.    Get rid of your limitations. This goes along with number 4. If you truly believe that an idea will work and help grow your business chances are good that it will. Mister Ed tries to win contests, writes letters to Dear Abby and other things that we all know usually do not get results, but he believes they will work and they do.

Although choosing the right company can be difficult, this is crucial to your success and it is one of the reasons many people fail. It is also important to change companies as soon as you realize you are in the wrong company. However, you should also be aware that the company is not usually the only reason or the strongest reason why many people fail and so you really should be certain that you have a valid reason for switching companies.

    2. Take some time to plan and set goals. Too many network marketers do not have goals or a plan for their business.

    3. Choose 2-3 methods of promoting your business and work these methods with zeal everyday. You cannot and must not pursue every method available of building your business. Pick the ones which you enjoy the most and which are generating the most success for you and go after these with all your heart.

    4. Make a long term commitment to your business and work it like a business. If you work your network marketing business like a hobby, then it will pay you like a hobby. You must work it like a real business even if you are part time.

    5. Find a coach and mentor and follow his or her advice. Many others have been where you are in your network marketing business before you and if you take the time to learn from others mistakes then you will not need to make them yourself.

    6. Develop a vision for your team and business and share it will all potential business partners and your sponsor. Having a vision tells the world that you are serious and it will help give you direction and focus.

    7. Set an intention to recruit from day one. Even if you do not recruit anybody for the first little while, it is crucial to be prospecting from the very beginning in the business and to have the mindset that you are looking for new team partners.

    1- Set Goals with Specific Action Steps. 

    What are your goals for your network marketing business? How are you going to reach your goals? What resources do you need to make sure your goals become a reality?

    2- Work Daily on Your Action Steps

    You can set goals to your heart’s content but if you do not work daily on the action steps which will get you there then it does you no good to have goals. Even if you cannot spend a large amount of time each day on your goals, it is crucial that you do spend at least a few minutes.

    3- Have an attitude of success. Work on improving your attitude every day.

    Attitude is the one thing that can make or break your business. Everyone experiences failure in network marketing to a certain degree, even those who make seven figure incomes. Having a positive attitude all the time no matter what will help to improve your attitude. Find books you can read, music you can listen to and mentors you can turn to when you need an attitude adjustment.

    4- Commit to your business for the long term.

    If you are only going to dabble in network marketing and make it a hobby then you will not experience any kind of a serious income. You must get seriously committed to your success in your network marketing business and stay committed to give it all you’ve got for at least five years. If you do this you will be successful.

    5- Get out of your comfort zone on occasion.

    Although it is not necessary to venture outside of your comfort zone every day, you do need to do this occasionally in order to grow yourself as well as your network marketing business.
